sunrise by the river

in every beginning there is an ending

somewhere in the world
night just fell
perhaps gently
perhaps suddenly

behind what hill did this sun just slip

through which trees are the last fingers of night still playing

on which river has the last diamond of light just finished dancing

in whose eyes is this light fading

Sitting here in quiet house with six of the seven residents sound asleep.

I sit alone in my overstuffed armchair, and I see your post. The soft darkness, the otherworldly music and images on the video, and your lovely, lovely words...the whole of it fills me with peace.

Your photos are extraordinarily beautiful. tsk.

In every beginning there is an ending. Yes, the yin/yang.

What a powerful way to say goodbye to one day and hello to another.

jo - the morning was very very cold and my hands were able to hold the camera for a minute or so before i had to put them back in my gloves to thaw them out. the camera battery was blinking in and out of service because it was freezing up. but i waited for big brother sun to show and when he did it was so cool to see all the colours through the river's steam. i'm grateful for your comment and glad to share the pleasure of the details of this post. steven

Well I can't stop thinking about Bahrain, and so, theirs are the eyes, fingers, trees and hills I answer.
