the first ten discs you'd buy

my blogmate sid up on the northeast coast of england dropped a nice question on his blog a few days ago (give him a visit and drag your peepers over the lists of sid's readers): "if you had to start from scratch what would be the first 10 albums you'd buy again?"

here's my list. drop your answers in the comments box if you'd like!

Weather Report Live in Tokyo
Shriekback Tench/Care and related Tracks
David Byrne/ Brian Eno My Life in the Bush of Ghosts
Miles Davis Bitches Brew
Keith Jarrett The Koln Concert
Robert Fripp Soundscapes at the Society for Ethical Culture
Phillip Glass Songs from Liquid Days
John Cale Music for a New Society
Klaus Schulze Moondawn
King Crimson Live at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw

i looked at this list again and i cannot believe it but it would stay the same. i think i am getting old very quickly. i never like lists to begin with and to keep one static is beyond my experience. oh no! what shall i do?! b'bye steven
